Our German friends visited South Africa for their third motorcycle trip. Once Namibia and twice across South Africa.
On their last trip we thought it best to show them our special place, the Tankwa Karoo!
We started in the Breede River Valley and made our way northeast along the gravel roads of the beautiful Anysberg Nature Reserve, towards Laingsburg. From there we made our way in a northerly direction towards Sutherland, but with a detour via the very steep Ouberg Pass. From Sutherland we went down
We spent the night in rustic cottages, after having a braai (barbecue) under the clear skies of the Tankwa Karoo. Aaaah, open spaces!!!
The next day we travelled through the Tankwa Karoo National Park and made our way towards Ceres via the Karoo gravel highway and Gydo Pass.
Next time we will spend a few more days in this region!
