Day 1:
We kick off our adventure from Donford BMW Motorrad Stellenbosch, heading towards the breathtaking Franschhoek Pass via the apple-growing region of Grabouw. The ride continues through the dramatic twists and turns of Bainskloof Pass, before opening up into the picturesque Slanghoek Valley and the rolling vineyards of the Robertson Valley. The day ends at a riverside campsite on the banks of the Breede River near Swellendam. No need to bring gear—everything from tents to stretchers and sleeping bags will be provided and set up. The evening features a spitbraai.
Day 2:
After breakfast along the river, we hit the road and head straight for the sweeping curves of Tradouw Pass, carved through rugged mountain terrain with stunning views at every turn. From there, we join the legendary Route 62, a motorcycling dream road, as we ride toward the capital of the Klein Karoo, Oudtshoorn, via the dramatic Huisrivier Pass. As the dry beauty of the Klein Karoo fades behind us, the landscape transforms into the lush, forested coastal scenery of the Garden Route. We end the day at a hotel in Wilderness, and have dinner at one of the best restaurants in town.
Day 3:
Today, we make our way west along the N2, riding through rolling farmlands and expansive rural landscapes that showcase yet another side of the Western Cape’s natural beauty. The highlight of the day: arriving at the Southernmost Tip of Africa, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Standing at this iconic landmark is a bucket-list moment for any traveler — and even more special on two wheels. From there, we continue to the tranquil seaside village of Arniston, where we’ll settle in for the night at a coastal hotel, with the ocean just steps away and the peaceful rhythm of village life all around.
Day 4:
Our final day begins with a relaxed westward ride through the rolling hills around Napier, then into the scenic Stanford Valley. As we near the coast, the landscape shifts once again. We join one of the most spectacular coastal roads in South Africa — the iconic Clarence Drive. Carved into the cliffs between Kleinmond and Gordon’s Bay, this stretch offers breathtaking ocean views, dramatic turns, and the perfect final chapter to our adventure. We return full circle to Donford BMW Motorrad Stellenbosch, where the journey began.

UPSOUTH ADVENTURES TOUR BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
In order to ensure peace of mind for UpSouth Adventures CC, but more importantly, for you as our valued customer, we need to stipulate terms and conditions. Let us get the formalities out of the way, then we know where we stand and we can get down to the fun and adventure!
The terms and conditions are applicable on all tours offered by, or booked with UpSouth Adventures CC.
Accepting these terms and conditions also means that you agree that any legal disputes will only, explicitly and exclusively fall under the jurisdiction of the South African court of law. The customer must comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and other regulations of the country you visit.
LICENSE AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
All riders must be in possession of a valid motorcycle driving license. If your license is not in English you also need to bring an international drivers license. Licenses are to be produced prior to the handover of the motorcycle.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION FEES
Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and invoice within one working day. A deposit of 25% is required to confirm your booking. The balance of the invoice amount must reflect in our bank account 30 days prior to the departure date of the tour, otherwise UpSouth Adventures reserves the right to cancel your booking and the applicable cancellation fees will be applied. All bank transfer fees are for your account. When you do the transfer, make sure to indicate this clearly to your bank.
If you cancel your booking the following fees apply:
- Up to 30 days prior to departure: your 25% deposit
- 29 to 15 days prior to departure: 50% of the tour costs
- 14 to 8 days prior to departure: 75% of the tour costs
- 7 to 0 days prior to the departure: 100% of the tour costs
UpSouth Adventures reserves the right to cancel the tour up to 30 days prior to departure, if the minimum participants are not reached. If UpSouth Adventures cancels the tour, we will refund the payment made to us in full. We will not be liable for any other costs, i.e. flight tickets, travel documents, vaccinations or other bookings made.
LIABILITY
UpSouth Adventures shall not be held accountable nor responsible for any accidents, illnesses, deaths, thefts or any other damage to your person or personal effects which occur during the tour, even if this leads to shortening your tour and/or extra costs for you. Any unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to war, illnesses, quarantine, weather, riots and other unforeseen reasons beyond the control of UpSouth Adventures and the consequences are for your own account. UpSouth Adventures shall not be held liable in any way for any of these possible occurrences or any consequences, which may arise as a result of these. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you waive all rights to persecute us, either under South African or any other international law.
