'GS Girls on tour with UpSouth Adventures' is open to all riders, girls and boys. It includes the most beautiful, less explored backroads and mountain passes, and at some stages is a bit more challenging than the standard jeep track. The route is designed to explore most of the exciting and breathtaking dirt road passes the Cape has on offer!
Look forward to an adventure! An exhilarating riding experience combined with interesting accommodation spots and breathtaking landscapes. And yes, you get to see some African animals in all their glory during our stay on a private game reserve. We also include 1,5 days off-road training with Country Trax at the beginning of the tour. We start the trip off by exploring Cape Town on your arrival day. A city tour, including Table Mountain, followed by a visit to the best steakhouse in town! On our first riding day, we get to cruise around the Cape Peninsula, covering Cape of Good Hope and the famous Chapman's Peak drive. By lunch time, the following day, we reach our training facility, where we have off-road training with South Africa's Official BMW Training Partner.
We travel over and through the Swartberg mountain range, with all its canyons, valleys and mountains. Next up, Baviaanskloof with single-lane dirt roads, carving through the gorges, mountain passes and water crossings. We spend some time at a private game reserve before heading inland through the vast plains and big open skies of Camdeboo.
The Garden Route welcomes us after discovering the arid Karoo. On our final leg of the tour, we head back in a westerly direction via the most Southern Tip of Africa. From here, we explore the last hidden valleys before making our way to the Cape Winelands along the famous Clarence drive coastal road. After indulging in the best wines in the world, we part ways.. until next time.. you will be back!

2022 GS Trophy German Ladies team member. Riding a bike is not just a hobby; It is a means to express herself, to relax. At the same time get her life in order, and share the joy with other people. Dörte is in love with South Africa, so she follows the call of nature and off-road adventures whenever it is possible. Her smile is always free and she will offer assistance and motivation wherever it's needed. Her role on tour will be guiding, sweeping and assisting the participants.

She has travelled widely in Europe on two wheels and is now looking forward to exploring South Africa with fellow female riders. An experienced rider, both on and off-road, assisting UpSouth Adventures for the last 5 years. Agnieszka has travelled Europe and South Africa extensively. Her role on tour will be leading and controlling the chaos.

The owner of UpSouth Adv, the local motorcycle tour operator in South Africa, with 14 years of experience and an Official BMW Partner for 7 years. Werner is born and raised in South Africa. His role on tour will be to pick up bikes and cheer up riders.

UPSOUTH ADVENTURES - TOUR BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
In order to ensure peace of mind for UpSouth Adventures CC, but more importantly, for you as our valued customer, we need to stipulate terms and conditions. Let us get the formalities out of the way, then we know where we stand and we can get down to the fun and adventure!
The terms and conditions are applicable on all tours offered by, or booked with UpSouth Adventures CC.
Accepting these terms and conditions also means that you agree that any legal disputes will only, explicitly and exclusively fall under the jurisdiction of the South African court of law. The customer must comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and other regulations of the country you visit.
LICENSE AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
All riders must be in possession of a valid motorcycle driving license. If your license is not in English you also need to bring an international drivers license. Licenses are to be produced prior to the handover of the motorcycle. All riders must be at least 21 years of age. Contact us to make special arrangements for younger riders.
All riders must produce a valid credit card prior to receiving their motorcycle. The insurance excess amount of the motorcycle will be reserved on the credit card. At the end of the tour, the reservation will be lifted, unless damages occurred. In such a case the rider will be notified and the damages will be subtracted from the credit card. The excess amount is R40,000.
The customer is responsible for all legal documents, i.e. Passport, required Visas and Health Certificates for all the countries to be visited during the tour.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION FEES
Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and invoice within one working day. A deposit of 25% is required to confirm your booking. The balance of the invoice amount must reflect in our bank account 30 days prior to the departure date of the tour, otherwise UpSouth Adventures reserves the right to cancel your booking and the applicable cancellation fees will be applied. All bank transfer fees are for your account. When you do the transfer, make sure to indicate this clearly to your bank.
If you cancel your booking the following fees apply:
- Up to 30 days prior to departure: your 25% deposit
- 29 to 15 days prior to departure: 50% of the tour costs
- 14 to 8 days prior to departure: 75% of the tour costs
- 7 to 0 days prior to the departure: 100% of the tour costs
UpSouth Adventures reserves the right to cancel the tour up to 30 days prior to departure, if the minimum required participants have not signed up. UpSouth Adventures will refund the payment made, in full. We will not be liable for any other costs, i.e. flight tickets, travel documents, vaccinations or other bookings made. Please take out travel insurance covering motorcycle travel, including a cancellation policy.
LIABILITY
UpSouth Adventures shall not be held accountable nor responsible for any accidents, illnesses, deaths, thefts or any other damage to your person or personal effects which occur during the tour, even if this leads to shortening your tour and/or extra costs for you. Any unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to war, illnesses, quarantine, weather, riots and other unforeseen reasons beyond the control of UpSouth Adventures and the consequences are for your own account. UpSouth Adventures shall not be held liable in any way for any of these possible occurrences or any consequences, which may arise as a result of these. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you waive all rights to persecute us, either under South African or any other international law.
